Sarah earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2014. As a proud Army wife, Sarah has had the opportunity to serve as a physical therapist in Kansas, Kentucky and Florida in both skilled nursing facilities and outpatient orthopedic settings. She has enjoyed working with patients with a range of neurological impairments, orthopedic needs and lymphedema management.

Sarah first became interested in pelvic floor physical therapy during her PT program after an influential talk by a pelvic floor therapist. After having her own children, Sarah realized the difficulty of accessing physical therapy during and after pregnancy, even as a physical therapist! She is committed to helping women in all phases of life to learn about pelvic rehabilitation. Sarah is thrilled to join the Lotus Rehab team and work with two wonderful women to serve women of San Antonio.

In her spare time, Sarah and her husband Mike stay busy raising their 5 children. Sarah enjoys traveling, playing piano and is a new fan of pickleball.

Laina graduated from UT Health (formerly The University of Texas Health Science Center) in 2013 with her doctorate in Physical Therapy. She then became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists in 2017. Laina initially became interested in pregnancy and post partum care while in school and then dove deeper into pelvic health as she continued her education.

Laina’s interest in treating pelvic floor patients initially stemmed from hearing comments from other women while working out such as “oh we’re jump roping today, I better go use the rest room beforehand.” Or other comments like, “once you have kids, you don’t have any control about what happens down there.” She knew there was a way to help these women and desires to share that information with as many people as she is able to. Laina thrives on continuously learning and growing in her practice.

Outside of work, Laina enjoys working out, spending time outdoors and traveling with her husband Andres, their daughter Isla, and their dog Wynn.
